Belintra – Our history
Belintra originated in 1965 as a cooperation of 5 laundry specialists. In 1993 a new management team under direction of Geert Schepens changed the company’s direction. Initially Belintra became a specialist in logistics for the textile industry. Over the years the scope of the business evolved to specialized services of laundry and waste in the healthcare industry and from there to it’s current core business: an all round provider of safe & smart logistical solutions for the different departments in hospitals and other healthcare institutions.
In 2017, Kris Liesmons (CEO) and Dirk Deruytere (VP Sales & Marketing) joined Belintra as shareholders.
In September 2022, the merger with ScanModul® International BV was ratified, supported by the independent private equity firm NewPort Capital. In the new structure, Geert Schepens, Kris Liesmons & Dirk Deruytere remained shareholders.
Following the successful integration, Geert Schepens and Kris Liesmons ended their positions and Patrick Bark became CEO of the combined ScanModul International BV – Belintra NV group per 1 January 2024.
Belintra – More than equipment
Today Belintra is a leading provider of healthcare logistics solutions. We are much more than a supplier of equipment. We develop the necessary infrastructure, enable organizational and logistical processes and implement workable solutions. These embrace all storage and transportation challenges a healthcare organization faces and extend throughout all departments including the nursery ward, sterilization and OR, pharmacy, emergency and ICU and linen & waste handling.

- Mobile IT workstations
- Open nursing trolleys
- All the components for optimum flow in the CSSD

Corporate Presentation Belintra
Belintra supports social economy through long-term partnership with sheltered workshop WAAK
Since 2010, Belintra has been working together with sheltered workshop WAAK. The basic machining of Belintra’s products takes place in WAAK’s metal assembly department. The entire metalworking process is done by WAAK’s specialised employees. The assembly of the various pieces into semi-finished products also takes place there. The final finishing, on the other hand, which varies according to the customer’s wishes and needs, is done by Belintra employees.
