Ending the year with good news

Before you know it, the current year is already coming to an end and the new is in sight.

For many, 2021 was another turbulent year that brought with it the necessary problems, especially in healthcare. The first good news is that the corona figures are starting to move in the right direction again and that further vaccination and respecting hygiene rules will take us further from the peak. Although we should not be too optimistic yet, we can only hope that this can finally give the many employees of the healthcare sector more breathing space.

However, the industry was not spared either. The scarcity and rising prices of certain raw materials and transport costs, as well as longer transit times, made it a year that was challenging for many in terms of supplies, lead times and control of production costs. Belintra does everything it can to anticipate these factors as much as possible, but we as an organization are also confronted with them. That is why we ask you to inform us in good time about projects that will start in the coming weeks, months and even years.

There are also some novelties in terms of regulations, including modified “MDR” (Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745) guidelines. The second good news is that Belintra has taken the necessary steps to certify its product range that qualifies for these guidelines, in particular the instrument baskets and lids. We are therefore pleased to announce that our range of Sterisystem® Dry-Base® instrument baskets and Steri-TOP lids is registered as a “Class I Medical Device”. The “Declaration of Conformity” can be obtained on simple request.
